Document Scanner
The document scanner takes an image of a document as an input and outputs a black and white cropped and transformed image (similar to what one would receive from a traditional scanner).~ source code for this in perception toolbox Resources Used: Computer Vision: Algorithms and Applications by Richard Szeliski Chapter 2.1 Geometric Primitives and Transforms… Read more
A little about me..
I am a passionate and hungry learner.
I have always been consumed by the process of building something. I was introduced to robotics in my first year of my Mechanical Engineering degree, where I programmed a small mobile robot with infrared receivers and limit switches to find an infrared emitting beacon. From that point I was hooked – I was in love with the idea that I could assemble a small electro-mechanical system, write some lines of code and then bring something to life!
Since then I have designed a few more mobile robots and focused on software design and development. I am currently employed as a Robotics Framework Software Engineer in San Francisco, California.
What interests me about perception is the idea that you can create a rich perspective of the surrounding environment using only a few sensors. As we innovate how we interpret the sensory information we gain more valuable information and can make more informed decisions!
